Alimrose have landed!
We think it is fitting that our very first highlighted doll in our special doll's section should be the beautiful Amelie Grey Rag Doll who has come to us all the way from Australia.
Alimrose Designs (formerly Native Bush Babies) began in the very early 1980’s when two mothers were tired of not being able to access Australian designed dolls and products for their children. This inspired them to begin their own company. The company originally made Australian themed dolls and figurines based around the characters from the stories of May Gibbs.
Over the years the range grew and eventually included a large range of beautiful dolls, soft toys, rattles, bibs, quilts & home wares.
In 1997 the company changed its trading name from Native Bush Babies to Alimrose Designs & at the same time took a change of direction with the designs and style of their baby accessories. Now Alimrose Designs is one the most sought after brands in the childrens gift market.
Amelie is just one of the Rag Dolls to join us from Alimrose and she stands tall at a lovely 52cm. Her mist skirt is stunning and has to be one of my absolute favourites of all of the rag dolls that we know and love.
Amelie is intended for children over 3 years of age, but just how stunning would this look in a nursery until the time that she can be played with.
You can of course buy Amelie on the Kiddymania website and is priced at £37.50. We think that she is a real bargain.
